Curly Wedding Hair And How I Work With Your Curls

After many years of working with curly-haired brides, I’ve developed a considered approach that allows your hair to look its best, every time.

Curly hair can be unpredictable. Wash days don’t always behave, textures shift and what works one day can feel completely different the next. Because of this, I’ve designed a way of working that removes the guesswork from both your trial and your wedding day.

For your trial, I’ll ask you to arrive with first or second-day clean hair, wearing around half the amount of product you would usually use. This allows me to see your natural curl pattern clearly, while keeping the hair soft and flexible enough to work with. From there, I use heat carefully and intentionally, choosing a tong size that mirrors your natural curl pattern and styling from that point.

This method means the result we create at your trial can be accurately recreated on your wedding day. Your curls are protected from unnecessary heat and the shape, movement and finish remain consistent.

I work from a small, trusted kit of curly-hair favourites, adjusting products depending on your curl type, the weather and how long your hair needs to last. Nothing is overworked or overloaded. The aim is always to enhance what your hair already does naturally, rather than forcing it into something unfamiliar, unless of course you want to try something different.
